Davis Craft & Vintage Fair
The Davis Craft and Vintage Fair is a vibrant marketplace that has been a part of the Davis, California community for over a decade. Initially known as the Square Tomatoes Craft Fair, it was established by instructors from the UC Davis Craft Center. The primary goal was to create a monthly gathering for local artisans to showcase their work and for the community to appreciate and purchase these unique creations.
Over the years, the fair has seen significant growth and evolution. In 2017, it expanded its scope to include local vintage vendors, thereby diversifying the range of products available. It has become a hub for artists and creators not just from Davis, but also from the broader Sacramento area, offering a platform for them to share their art, crafts, vintage items, upcycled treasures, and earth-friendly creations.
The fair has also established collaborations with local non-profit organizations.
Many of the vendors at the Davis Craft and Vintage Fair also participate in annual festivals, such as the Davis Phoenix Coalition’s Pride Fest and the I-House’s International Festival. These events provide additional opportunities for the vendors to reach a wider audience and for the community to engage with local artisans.
Visitors to the Davis Craft and Vintage Fair can expect a lively and friendly atmosphere. They will find a wide array of locally made and original art, crafts, quality vintage items, upcycled treasures, and earth-friendly creations. In addition to the unique shopping experience, visitors can also enjoy good food and free live music, adding to the festive environment.
